Dr. Louis Korpics has practiced in Ashland since 1992. He graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1990. He went on to complete a two-year general practice residency at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville before coming to Ashland.
Dr. Korpics has been an adjunct faculty member at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry since 1993 and currently serves as an assistant professor in the advanced education general dentistry program.
He is committed to continuing education and has been accepted by his peers as a master in the Academy of General Dentistry and a fellow in the American Association of Hospital Dentists. He is a member of several study clubs in the Richmond area and is active with the Richmond Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology.
Dr. Korpics and his dental team are committed to community service and have served on ten Missions of Mercy throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has also provided dental service abroad, in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Korpics enjoys camping, backpacking, fishing, and storm chasing. For years he was very active in scouting and served as Scoutmaster for Troop 505.
